Chronology
of Norman Webster (son of Asa & Sally) and his four wives:
Antha Throop, Marilla Throop, Eliza (?), and Eliza Jane Bishop

 

1804 Oct 10 Norman is born. His family was living on the east half of lot 4 on the first concession of Elizabethtown Township at this time.
1806 Norman, age 1, moves with his family to lot 35 on the fifth concession of Augusta Township.
1814 Oct 14 Norman, along with seven of his brothers and sisters, is baptized by William Smart, Minister of the Presbyterian Congregation, Brockville.
1825 Norman leaves home about this time.
1829 Mar 12 Norman marries Antha Throop. See William Smart's Records. Norman and Antha lived in the log house on Lot 35 in 1830 and 1831, after which they may have moved to Wolford Township, Grenville County.
1835 Their son Hiram James is born.
1837 Their son William is born.
1838 Dec 29 Norman buys the north half of Lot 35 from his parents for 500 pounds. They buy it back from him at the same price on July 13, 1839. The purpose of these transactions isn't known. As Norman was listed on both records as living in Wolford, it doesn't appear that he came to live on the lot.
1839 Jul 21 Their son Samuel is born.
1840 Their son Erastus is born.
Between 1841 and 1846 Their son Joseph is born.
1847 Jun 11 Their son Cyrus is born.
1848 Jul Their daughter Mary Eurania is born.
1848 Jul 11 Antha dies and is buried in Carpenter Cemetery, in Augusta Township.
1852 Jan The first full census is taken in Canada West, with all individuals in each household listed by name. Norman, still a widower, was in Wolford Township, Grenville County, with four of his sons: Hiram, William, Samuel, and Erastus. Another son, Cyrus, was with a Buker family in Oxford Township, Grenville County. The location of Joseph and Mary Eurania isn’t known.
Between 1859 and 1861 Norman marries Marilla (Throop) Gartshore, widow of James Gartshore. Marilla was Antha’s younger sister.
1862 May 1 Samuel dies.
1862 Aug 20 Their daughter Emmaline is born.
1864 May 28 Erastus dies.
1864 Sep 30 Hiram dies.
1869 May 12 Cyrus marries Ellen Edwards.
1869 Jun 2 Marilla dies and is buried in Carpenter Cemetery next to Antha.
Between 1871 and 1881 Norman marries Eliza whose last name is not known. She was born in Ireland about 1822.
1888 Jun 5 Eliza dies and is buried in Union Cemetery in Merrickville, Wolford Township.
1888 Emmaline marries George Lewis Riches in Ogdenburg, NY.
1890 Oct 1 Norman marries Eliza Jane (Bishop) Buker, widow of Job Buker.
1892 Apr 6 Norman dies in Augusta, Ontario. He may have been buried in Carpenter Cemetery, where his first two wives were buried, but if so there is no stone for him.
1892 Dec 14 Norman’s widow, Eliza, marries Charles Pepper.
1914 Mar 6 Eliza Pepper dies.
1928 May 29 Cyrus dies.
1942 Mar 20 Emmaline dies.
