Chronology
of Phineas Webster (youngest child of Asa & Sally)

 

1818 Sep 18 Phineas is born. His family was living on lot 35 on the fifth concession of Augusta Township at this time. If he was baptized, no record has been found. It was after the death of Baldwin in 1830 that Phineas added the name Baldwin as a second name out of respect for his brother: thus the later references to P.B. Webster.
1835 Phineas becomes a member of the Methodist Church at age 17.
1839 Phineas leaves home at age 20, leaving Asa and Sally alone on Lot 35.
1847 Jan 14 Phineas Baldwin Webster marries Charlotte Ann Turkington. Phineas is listed as living in Kitley, and Charlotte in Yonge.
1848 Jun 5 Their son Stephen Miles is born.
1849 Dec 17 Their son Edwin Henry is born.
1850 Phineas and Charlotte and their first two children appear in the census taken this year for Hammond, St. Lawrence County, NY.
1851 Jun 5 Phineas and Charlotte, possibly acting on behalf of Polly, Betsy, Almira and Phebe, sell 125 acres of the Webster lot, number 35 on the fifth concession of Augusta Township.
1851 Sep 2 Their son Richard Wilmer is born.
1852 Jan The first full census is taken in Canada West, with all individuals in each household listed by name. Phineas and Charlotte, back from New York, were in Wolford Township.
1853 Jan 2 Edwin dies.
1854 Mar 12 Their daughter Mary Ann is born in Lyn, Elizabethtown Township.
1855 Sep 5 Their son Ephraim (IV) Russell is born in Augusta Township.
1855 Dec 25 Richard dies.
1857 May 5 Their daughter Emma Ada is born.
1859-60? Their daughter Effie Jane is born.
1861 May 23 Emma dies.
1862 May 21 Their daughter Lucelia is born.
1868 May 12 Their daughter Bertha Charlotte is born.
1874 Aug 13 Mary Ann marries George Agnew in Jasper, Kitley & Wolford Townships.
1878 May Phineas retires from working as the Toronto agent for Chase Bros. & Bowman, Nurserymen of Rochester, N.Y. and Toronto, Ontario. He is living in Parkenham, Ontario at the time. He is given a Bible.
1880 Mar 24 Effie marries George Halliday in Pakenham, Lanark County.
1882 Phineas and Charlotte Ann move to Dominion City, Manitoba, but, at the request of his former employers, he returned to Ontario and resumed his former position.
1882 May 10 Stephen marries Euphenia Ross in Winnipeg, MB.
1886 Feb 13 Stephen dies in Jamestown, ND.
1887 Jun 15 Ephraim marries Minnie Viola Mead in Crookston, MN.
1888 Phineas and Charlotte Ann move to Winnipeg, Manitoba.
1891 Dec 23 Bertha marries Charles S. Clark MD in San Francisco, CA.
1893 Phineas and Charlotte Ann move to Dominion City, Manitoba to spend their remaining years living with their daughter, Mary Ann and her husband George Agnew.
1895 Jul 30 Charlotte Ann Webster (wife of Phineas) dies in Dominion City, Manitoba.
1898 Nov 28 Phineas dies in Dominion City, MB where he has been living with his daughter, Mary Ann, and her husband, George Agnew. George Agnew has a general store and grain elevator in Dominion City.
About 1915 Lucelia dies in Scoatia, WA.
1918 May 1 George Agnew dies in Victoria, BC.
About 1930 Effie dies in Victoria, BC.
1931 Jan 4 Ephraim dies in Spokane, WA.
1932 Jan 17 Mary Ann dies in Victoria, BC.
1944 Jul 4 Bertha dies in Berkley, CA.
